About the Maker

Since a young age I’ve been fascinated with art and doing everything I could to make things on my own. I grew up in Northern Idaho and loved the practice of making tools for everyday life with my own two hands. I spent as much time as I could outside, but if I was inside I was doing some sort of craft. Through my young adult life I practiced drawing, painting, sewing, and making jewelry while living on the road. It wasn’t until the fall of 2019 that I permanently settled down in Driggs, Idaho and discovered the world of pottery. I felt like I had truly found my place in the world.

Throughout the past few years I have worked on not only building a house with my partner, Jamison, but also building my own studio on our land. Being able to design and build the space that I create in has been a very unique and challenging experience to say the least!

Before I started seriously practicing, I never realized how important the creative process is for my mental health and my happiness. Creating is a way for me to share the beauty that surrounds me. What I make is inspired by the world around me, especially the natural world. These days, if I’m not in the studio or working on our land, you can find me somewhere in the Tetons getting inspired.

What I love about functional art is that it gets to have two lives — one with me as the maker, and another with you, the user. My goal is to create durable goods that last, in order to reduce waste and prolong the lifespan of my products.
